Matt Damon's Father Kent Is Dead

Kent Damon died on December 14 after a long battle with cancer, the actor's representative told ET Online.

Kent died of multiple myeloma - a rare blood disease - after he took a turn for the worse in recent months, according to The Boston Globe.

Damon revealed that his father was battling myeloma while attending a benefit for Massachusetts General Hospital in 2011.
