Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has urged Muslims across the country to pray in their respective homes during the forthcoming Eld-Fitri festival if that is what the situation requires.
Abubakar in a statement signed by Professor Salisu Shehu, Deputy Secretary-General, NSCIA, gave this advice in view of the current coronavirus pandemic.
The Eld-Fitri festival which signifies the end of the one-month of Ramadan fast is billed to take place on Saturday if the Ramadan fast is 29 or Sunday if the Ramadan fast will be 30.
