Ground force recovers register of Niger Delta militants

Delta militants terrorising the south west region have discovered a register that contains the names and pictures of the criminals. The military has been carrying out air and ground operations in the Arepo are of Lagos and some parts of Ogun state following repeated attacks and kidnapping by militants who access the region through the water ways. The soldiers also destroyed about 97 camps in the enclave. A military source that spoke on the condition of anonymity said that there was a strong smell of decomposing body which indicated that fleeing militants took with them the bodies of their dead comrades. Some items found are three laptops, expended magazines, an AK47 rifle and police and military uniforms. “The recovered items will aid the investigation by the DSS and enable them to go after and apprehend the suspects.” The source also disclosed that the registrar showed that the militants were organised as they usually signed in and out.
